saving our self

i just received a message from my friend in australia to tell me that she has quit her job. 'the atmosphere was just too toxic' she said. i thought that's a really good, precise and perfect description of a typical work environment. come to think of it, i hardly met any employees who love their job. for the sake of money, sometimes we sacrifice our self, or soul, or well-being, whatever word you want to name it. i am talking about that true self that dwells deep in all of us. the self which if we are connected with, gives us contentment in our lives.
tomorrow is another monday. to everyone who is suffering right now from the 'shit-man-tmr-is-monday-i-dun-feel-like-going-back-to-work' syndrome, here's a quote to share with you.
''IF SOMETHING CAN BE REMEDIED, WHAT POINT IS THERE TO BEING UNHAPPY? AND IF THERE IS NO REMEDY, THEN THERE IS STILL NO POINT IN BEING UNHAPPY.'' - Shantideva.
if you can change something, change it. if not, then accept it. being unhappy doesnt help in any way.
hey girl, i am glad you made a decision to change the situation. remain open to the abundance of the universe. staying true to being who we really are, is the only way to live. road less travelled but definitely worth the adventure. let me once again, extend a warm welcome to the "SAVE YOUR SELF" club that i just founded. haha.
p.s. maybe i should start a campaign 'SAVE THE SELF' - Don't let your job eat you up! and ask the guys who did the song for the 'Save The Human' campaign to compose a song for me. hahaha : )
