a wonderful week
today i had a wonderful day! well, actually this whole week had been wonderful. once again, life has once again proven to me that when our hearts are opened, surprises are always just around the corner. it's as if they have always been there, waiting for us. waiting for us to see them, to open up to them.
a friend brough me to club 71 off hollywood road central 2 nites ago. i was totally amused at these 3 chicken balloons. they way they are floating across the place... felt like they drunk more than they should. maybe i did too. haha... couldnt get a steady shot. i really like the casual atmosphere and nice mix of expats and cute little hong kong students. there is also a nice outdoor area. i had a great time.
you know.. there are so many things in life which cannot be simply put into words. emotions, connections you feel with people, strangers, nature, animals. i am sure you had experienced it before sometime in your life.... it's like when i look into my cat's eyes, or into a baby's eyes, no spoken language, but at that moment, it's as if there is a common knowingness, not that we know what each other is thinking, but more like, we are standing on common ground... we are coming from the same place... a part of me is merged with a part of him at that moment. connected in stillness. brief but intense. a little tug at the heartstrings. as you exhale.... inside you, you know that that moment had ended, or rather it had transcended into the beginning of another moment. and once again, we remind ourselves to stay open. stay fresh.
j. krishnamurti said something along the line of 'the only thing you can do in life is to move from moment to moment'. now i know what it truly means because today i see it.
the rain came suddenly this afternoon when evelyn, marge and i were walking back from the beach. it was heavy. we were wet but it felt good. refreshing! i am ready to move into the next moment!
beautiful sunset 3 days ago.. so glad that i had my camera with me. woke up just in time from my ferry nap to catch this. : )
i just sat there and watched in awe.... the brilliant shades fading... the ending is the beginning is the end. absolutely beautiful.
p.s. to neil k, you know they say life's a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. i say, life's a ferry ride, you never know what you're gonna get. : )
