satya
there is always clutter, things that we no longer need in our lives, accumulating every single day. i am not talking about tangible stuff, but emotional, mental clutter that get stored in our system, causing blockage. today marks a new beginning of the my yoga practise. with the 2:30pm class i just had with margie, i 're-start' my practise. whatever unwanted energy that i collected from my past practises behind is washed away by the beautiful chant 'sarve shaam' that margie sang at the end of practise. now i feel i am surrounded by a bubble of clear white light. yes! thank you girls, for listening to the quirky talk. i just need to write it out. : )
OK! recently i learnt a lot about 'satya' (my favourite sanskrit word) which literally means truth. i hope to share a little with you on what i read this morning during breakfast. (tomato, cheese, mixed greens sandwich. yum yum)
the notes says ''real truth is when 3 conditions are fulfilled: speech must be in acordance with fact; he/she must be guided by good intention and justice and; speech must be couched in agreeable words. it must be about something which one has directly perceived, inferred or learned from a reliable source.'' ''we are all in process and we will fall prey to a-satya at times. our work lies in checking our actions and intentions. is how we are living, standing up to what we say? though we may not be able to choose what comes to us in life, we can choose how we respond. a strong counter pattern may exist, but an aware, mindful attitude can counter this. stand up to the pull of your senses and lower mind. let us not promise too much and deliver too little or wallow in the realm of hypocrisy.''

may we all be speakers of truth, 'satya' the real truth in our thoughts, words and actions.
