erika's mooi!

its funny, erika used to the girl who replaced my position in ogilvy when i left to start kyurii. and now she has left too, and started her furniture shop, mooi. i really admire her, from deciding to open shop to the opening day, she took only 2 mths! her last day at ogilvy was only 2 mths ago. well done! her shop sells retro furniture imported from berlin. check out some of the stuff, really cool. i especially love the retro wallpaper!! and also that pair of shoes, which is from the german military, and the ones that martin margiela actually recreated for his label. really cool!!! i shot so many photos, ended up doing a montage. and also i love the location. her neighbours are some of the oldest shops in hk, many car repair shops, dainty provision shop run by old folks, street side hawkers selling yummy pork chop noodles, stray cats wandering around. i just love the contrast of having a furniture shop within all that. i dream of having a kyurii office in a quaint old area too, but its quite hard to find anything truly old in singapore really.
oh i am really proud of my frens! some of us ventured into bag business, lifestyle products, furniture. so besides being art directors and copywriters, we are all capable of doing more! erika, you are right! whatever it is, as long as we set our mind to it, we can make it happen! skys the limit! i like the way this photo turns out. my finger hit the button before i could frame it. i love the un-art directedness of it. anyway to frens in hk, if you have time, please drop by at erika's shop at 15, ormsby street. taihang. near wunsha street. dun forget to go eat that yummy pork chop noodles too!
