magic of an omelette
hello girls! good afternoon! even though its 6pm now, i feel like my day just started. i am still waking up at 3plus in the afternoon and sleeping at 5am. hahaha worse jetlag ever. but i am kind of enjoying it. yeah! the new launch is happening tmr at 9am! i have sent over all the photos to leekeng, over to my dearest buddy to upload them.
i just went down to green cottage for brunch. mike made me the BEST OMELETTE EVER! it has spinach, tomato, mushroom, cheese in it (you are supposed to choose one or two fillings, but he gave me all. it was overfilled that the omelette burst. haha). what i truly love about green cottage, is the warmth and friendliness and genuinity of the little cafe. run by mike and ron, been around in lamma for 12 years and still with such enthusiasm and warmth. they know everyone and its just nice to be able to drop by and chat to them and read. girls, if you ever come to lamma, you may like to drop by green cottage.
to leekeng, hey i know you just told me you missed the food right. dun worry, i will eat them for you. haha. today i also sat here. the evening sun ray was shining through the palm leaves onto my book, beautiful...
this photo is from patan not lamma, but its the same sun light.
after the very satisfying 'made-from-the-heart omelette', he gave me a complimentary banana muffin fresh from the oven. i am in bliss. i gave thanks. its just a blessing to be able to taste and feel every bite of this wonderful food under the setting sun looking at the glittery sea. 'imagine' by the beatles was playing in the background. at that very moment, its as if nothing else matters. everything is at peace.
its only a simple omelette, but when things are made with totalilty, with awareness, with nowness, gentleness, love, the difference is felt. its still a simple omelette but the positive energy which is effortlessly put into it, is passed on. from mike to the preparing of the omelette to me eating it then to writing this blog, and now to you.
this is what i think is the magic of life. its intangible. in london, i experienced it through the voice of deva, the long long hug from miten and the sound of the bansuri through manose. today i experienced it through an omelette prepared by mike. thank you.
'You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one.'
- imagine, beatles.
