a little more courage please. thank you.

hi there! today last day of 2008, which means another 365 days had passed. think about all the past painful, sad, agonising moments, they had all passed us by. now think about all the happy, unforgettable, exhilarating, they had also become memories. we all made it. didn't we? now come 2009, with its own ups and downs for us to experience.
on this last blog of 2008, let me share this meaningful quote with you:
''You cannot be truthful if you are not courageous.
You cannot be loving if you are not courageous.
You cannot be trusting if you are not courageous.
You cannot enter into reality if you are not courageous.
Hence courage comes first...
and everything else follows.'' -osho
why do we sometimes not dare to say things we really mean? why are we afraid to take risks to love? why do we find it hard to let go and trust? why so much fear in our hearts? have a think about it.
i have not been courageous in some areas of my life this year. for the coming year, i ask for fear to be removed from the hearts of each and every one of us and be replaced by a little more COURAGE for us to be true, to love and to trust.
om shanti om.

Dear Suyin, what you said is really true. i just got back from bangkok with my friend and in the midst of walking on a foreign street, i have this sudden fear for the routine, lack of freedom and used-to. i wonder what it would be like to travel alone, use and trust your instinct as what you said. or even live alone. It requires lots of courage. But at the end of the tunnel, you enjoy the breeze, freedom and strength to do anything and everything. Happy year 2009! May all of us possess such love, joy and peace. jh.

hi jh, hey thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. yes it does take a lot of courage to be courageous. haha. the first step is always the scariest. i remembered the booking of the ticket to nepal was the toughest step for me.
and right now i am going through fear again, i will be leaving my comfort zone and moving to lamma island next mth. after being in happy valley for 5 years, i know everyone here from the laundry shop lady to the girls at starbucks. i am scared about not knowing anyone there and feeling isolated. most think i am crazy to move to an island without cars and roads (imagine me moving to pulau ubin) and away from the city where my frens live.
but i also know i can't miss out on the chance to experience something that i secretly wished for, when it presents itself in my life. so what the heck! haha. its just one of those scary things (perceived by our mind) again, which i am sure will turn out fine.
hey next time you are in warrior 1 or 2, remember to hold your chin up and smile from your heart! feel the brave mighty warrior spirit, its right there in you! you just have to bring it out. love, suyin : )
